Legionella Risk Assessment (LRA)
Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia which is contracted by inhaling small droplets of water containing the Legionella bacteria.
House of Commons Briefing Paper 07307 (October 2015) states, “Landlords of residential accommodation have a responsibility to take measures to ensure that their properties are free from health and safety hazards, this includes taking measures to combat Legionnaires disease.”
Increasingly, many landlords or their acting agents are now choosing to provide an assessment as part of their best practice for their tenants. I provide an informative report which includes various levels of risk assessment based on the likelihood of a hazard occurring and the severity of the effect of the hazard.
